Saturday 24th March saw players from our Pre-Academy age groups (U6, U7 & U8) play against the AFC Bournemouth Pre-Academy, in a busy morning of fixtures.

AFC Bournemouth also asked us to bring down an U9 squad to really test their U8 age group.

All the matches took place at the AFC Bournemouth training ground and the standard of football on show was exceptional, with very competitive fixtures across the board.

It was a great opportunity for our players to test themselves against very strong opposition and to play in front the AFC Bournemouth Academy Head of player recruitment and his scouting team.

Even more exciting for our players was the fact that first team manager Eddie Howe came to watch the matches, as the first team had no Saturday fixture, with it being the international break. Eddie Howe was very complementary about the performances of the New Forest players when he discussed the matches afterwards with Coach Jesse. As ever Eddie was more than happy to pose for photos with all the players after the games and give feedback to players.

A great morning of football all round, well done to all the players involved!
